Reiki

I am an Usui Reiki Master Teacher, a Karuna Reiki Master Teacher, and a Holy Fire Master Teacher. Let me explain what that means.

Usui Reiki is named after Mikao Usui who “discovered” Reiki in the 1920’s. I use quotes because Reiki is an universal energy, that I believe has been on this planet for eons. This is considered the foundational form of Reiki.

Karuna Reiki evolved out of Usui Reiki with its on set of powerful symbols and energy. Karuna means Compassion, or any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others. Karuna is an advanced form of Reiki available only to the Usui Master Teachers.

Holy Fire Reiki. I will go into Holy Fire Reiki more fully below, but in my opinion, Holy Fire Reiki is the most evolved and powerful of all of the Reiki lineages. That being said, these amazing “flavors” of Reiki blend in my field combining for the perfect healing for each client

Reiki changed my life. Shortly after graduating from Massage school, I met my first Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master who possessed such a peaceful calm that I knew I wanted to know more.

Let me explain for those who haven't heard of Reiki, or don't quite know what it is. Reiki is a form of energy healing, a type of alternative medicine. The word Reiki actually means "universal energy" or “spiritual wisdom”. It is what we are all made up of. Reiki practitioners are trained and gifted with the ability to access this universal energy, and share it with others for the purposes of relaxation and healing—and if desired, for spiritual growth

My personal & professional experience tells me that there is not a person, a condition, animal, or situation that would not benefit from Reiki in some way. Whether the intention is for is a direct healing, or just to create a relaxed, nourished energetic state that supports change, Reiki is a powerful ally.

Sessions can be done in person, and unlike massage are done with clothes on. Reiki can also be done long distance…some clients find it even more powerful via long distance! It can be done while sitting up, or in hospital beds. I have worked on people in distress on airplanes, in hospital waiting rooms, even in the grocery store.

Holy Fire Reiki

The Universe breathed new life into Reiki with Holy (Whole) Fire Reiki. The use of the word holy in the name Holy Fire is not religious in meaning. The word holy has as its root meaning to be whole and complete and this is how it is used in Holy Fire.

I had been working as a traditional Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master for over 10 years. Holy Fire Reiki is the next evolution of Reiki. Holy Fire Reiki is a combination of traditional Usui Reiki and a contemporary evolution of Reiki, Holy Fire Reiki.

In 2014, I was inspired to train to become a Karuna Reiki Master Teacher at The International Center for Reiki Training in Glastonbury, England. Little did I know when I registered, I would be additionally gifted with the most magnificent form of Reiki energy, I had ever experienced. Holy Fire Reiki was new to this world in 2014.

I received my attunement at Stonehengeduring a full moon. The experience was profoundly magical and powerful. Holy Fire Reiki is the purest, highly refined, transformative Reiki energy I have ever experienced. The energy is noticeably refined and comes from a higher level of consciousness than any energy we have encountered before. For my clients, their healing experiences have been amplified. Deeper states of relaxation, more profound shifts. A feeling of being safely held. There aren’t many Holy Fire Practitioners in the world at this time, and I am fortunate to be one of them and bring it’s many blessings to my clients near and far.

Reiki is finding its way into mainstream medicine. The Cancer Society has been recommending Reiki as an adjunct therapy for some time for both the patient and the caregivers. The Heart Association is now on board. More recently Reiki has been finding its way into the surgical suite. Dr. Oz, for one, is recommending Reiki be present during operations which has opened up a whole new training to prepare practitioners to work alongside the surgical teams!

Reiki for Animals
Reiki is also a lovely and effective healing modality for animals. There are as many benefits as there are for people: relaxation, treatment of stress or anxiety, and healing—both physical and mental. It also helps integrate new animals into the household. I use Reiki for Rescue/shelter animals (Reiki For Rescues). I find it highly effective.
